This problem usually appear after refilled the cartridge on the canon printer and ink level indicator showing the ink cartridge is empty although you have filled a cc Ink into the cartridge. And if the problem occur you cannot using your printer to print. The solution you must reset ink level on the printer if you want your computer work again.
If you have a problem like that you ca follow this tutorial to solve your printer problem, here how:
1. Turn of the printer and Disconnect the power cable to the printer.
2. Press power button on the printer. While pressing the button connect the power cable to the power source (the power indicator will light in green)
3. While still holding power button press resume button twice – orange blink and return to green.
4. Release the power button, then the PC will recognize new cartridge installed (If the power indicator on the printer steady in green you continue to Steps 5)
5. Run the IPtools software, please await after this software detect your printer correctly or you can set the printer model on “Change Model” section.
6. Click “reset black and reset color” button to reset the ink level and Click “reset main and reset platen” to reset waste ink counter. After clicked the button you will see ink level of the cartridge on in the IPTol info has 100% and WP and WM has set to 0. Click Exit on IPTool
7. Turn off the printer and turn on again.
On the reset procedure above usually the problem found on steps 1-4 to make the printer steady light in green. On my experiment if steps 1-4 does not work on your printer, you can use manual reset method for canon iP1700 before continue to steps 5.

What can you do? Well depending on the type of file, in some cases close to nothing. What if youve been reading about a great piece of software, only to find that its only available for Windows? Give up? No... there is hope.
There are places online where you can easily convert a lot of file types. But this may not always be the best option. It may not be possible to convert every single file type there is with such services. In the case of a program or application, there may be other alternatives available for the Mac operating system. But this is not always the case, since a lot of programs and applications that are available only for the Windows OS have unique or proprietary features that may be desired. Read on to find out 3 ways to run Windows programs straight from your very own Mac.
CrossOver from Code Weavers (the standard edition is $39.99, the professional version is $69.95) is a Windows emulator for Mac OS X that allows you to use a range of Windows programs on your Mac. The bad news is that it is only available for Mac OS 10.5 or later on Macs with Intel x86 CPUs. If you meet the requirements however, its a very simple option. The CrossOver program exists on your Mac and when you insert supported Windows software discs or download Windows programs from the internet, it recognizes them and installs them with ease.
VirtualBox is a free, open-source program that provides virtual machines for you to run different operating systems on top of your Mac OS. Although it is free, youll have to purchase a Windows operating system in addition to applications or programs. (if youd like to run a free operating system on VirtualBox, see resources below). Sadly, VirtualBox is only supported on Intel Macs as well.
WineBottler is an open-source program that allows you to run some Windows applications on your Mac. Again it is only supported on Intel Macs. This method can be a little buggy, but on the website you should find all the info you need to get some programs up and running.
Hopefully with these options, youll be able to get some Windows only applications running on your Mac.

However, little by little they are beginning to upgrade their computers and Operating Systems to the latest and greatest 64-bit Windows 7 - but they want to keep using their beloved old software. Therein lies the problem!
The other day I set up a new Windows 7 machine for a client. He was extremely happy and then he said "OK, now lets install my wifes American Greetings CreataCard Gold 5 and my Hoyle Card Games". He and his wife had used these same programs for years and they couldnt live without them!
Well as you can probably imagine, these two programs would not install. Both of these older programs are16-bit and will not install on the 64-bit Windows 7 OS. If my client had purchased a computer running 32-bit Windows 7, he could have run his programs in Compatibility Mode but this function will not work in 64-bit Windows 7.
So, the guy was very disappointed but I stayed as "cool as a cucumber" because I knew that there were several, great, free virtual machine programs that will allow you to run these older 16-bit programs on Windows 7 64-bit.
These are the programs that I recommend (especially #2 & #3):
1) DOSBox (DOSBox is a DOS emulator and only runs 16 bit MS-DOS programs and not 16 bit Windows Applications).
2) VirtualBox (a "virtual machine" that allows an unmodified operating system with all of its installed software to run in a special environment, on top of your existing operating system).
3) VMware Player (a "virtual machine" that will run legacy Windows applications on top of your existing operating system without interfering with the original OS).
Have fun continuing to enjoy your older programs on your brand new Operating System!!

Konsep Dasar Jaringan Komputer
Jaringan komputer adalah sebuah sistem yang terdiri atas komputer dan perangkat jaringan lainnya yang bekerja bersama-sama untuk mencapai suatu tujuan yang sama. Tujuan dari jaringan komputer adalah:
Jaringan komputer : hubungan antara beberapa komputer untuk saling berbagi pakai.
• Membagi sumber daya: contohnya berbagi pemakaian printer, internet, folder,desktop
• Komunikasi: contohnya surat elektronik, instant messaging, chatting
• Akses informasi: contohnya web browsing
Tipe – tipe jaringan
1. WAN (Wide Area Networking)
2. MAN (Metropolitan Area Networking)
3. LAN (Local Area Networking)
4. Wireless Fidelity (Wi-fi)
WAN (Wide Area Networking)
Merupakan hubungan antara beberapa komputer yang sifatnya beda negara. Contohnya adalah komputer yang berada di Indonesia berhubungan dengan komputer yang ada di Washington DC, US.
Teknis Hubungan WAN :
1. Line Telephone
a. PSTN (Public Service Telephone Network)
Perangkat : Modem Dial Up ---> analog
b. ISDN (Integrated Service Digital Network)
Perangkat : NT1 / E1 + TA (Terminal Adapter) ---> digital
c. LC (Lease Connection) or Lease Line
Perangkat : Router WIC Modular ---> digital
d. LTLR (Line Telephone Lintas Radio)
2. VPN (Virtual Private Network)
Menghubungkan jaringan komputer menggunakan internet
• ADSL (Asymetric Digital Subcriber Line) : Downstreaming > Upstreaming
• SDSL (Symetric Digital Subcriber Line) : Downstreaming = Upstreaming
3. HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access)
4. GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) : 3G
MAN (Metropolitan Area Networking)
Merupakan hubungan antara beberapa komputer yang berbeda kota. Contohnya adalah komputer cabang Jakarta berhubungan dengan komputer yang ada di cabang Bandung.
Teknis hubungan MAN dilakukan bisa dilakukan dengan cara yang sama seperti pada WAN.
LAN (Local Area Networking)
Merupakan hubungan antara beberapa komputer yang letaknya tidak berjauhan dan masih dimiliki oleh satu organisasi/institusi. LAN memiliki 4 model yaitu:
a. P2P (Peer to Peer)
b. Workgroup
c. Domain
d. Wireless LAN
a. Jaringan P2P (Peer to Peer)
Adalah hubungan antar 2 komputer. Hubungan P2P ini memiliki syarat yang harus dilakukan yaitu:
? Harus ada 2 komputer.
? Masing-masing komputer dipasang NIC (Network Interface Card) / LAN Card.
? Media transmisi (kabel UTP) dan tidak boleh lebih dari 100m.
? Operating system seperti Windows atau Linux.
? Ada TCP/IP sebagai Protokol

b. Jaringan Workgroup
Adalah hubungan antara beberapa komputer tanpa adanya server. Workgroup ini memiliki syarat yang hampir sama dengan P2P yaitu:
? Harus ada beberapa komputer (harus lebih dari 2 komputer) yang terhubung ke switch.
? Masing-masing komputer dipasang NIC (Network Interface Card) / LAN Card.
? Media transmisi (kabel UTP) dan tidak boleh lebih dari 100m. Jika lebih menggunakan repeater.
? Menggunakan Switch / Multiple Repeater.
? Operating system seperti Windows atau Linux.
? Ada TCP/IP sebagai Protokol.
Untuk membuat jaringan workgroup ketentuan dan langkah-langkah masih sama dengan jaringan P2P, tetapi pada jaringan workgroup menggunakan Switch sebagai penghubung.
c. Jaringan Domain
Adalah hubungan antara beberapa komputer yang memiliki server. Syarat dari jaringan berbasis domain ini adalah:
? Harus lebih dari 2 komputer.
? Masing-masing komputer dipasang NIC (Network Interface Card) / LAN Card.
? Media transmisi (kabel UTP) dan tidak boleh lebih dari 100m.
? Menggunakan Switch / Multiple Repeater.
? Operating system seperti Windows atau Linux.
? Ada TCP/IP sebagai Protokol
? Ada Server yang berperan sebagai Domain
? Menggunakan NOS (Network Operating System) seperti Win2k Server, Win2K3 Server, Win2k8 Server, Linux Server dan lain – lain.
d. Wireless LAN
Adalah jaringan tanpa kabel (nirkabel) yang menggunakan transmisi gelombang radio. Ada 2 tipe jaringan wireless ini yaitu:
1. Adhoc
Merupakan jaringan P2P pada wireless tanpa menggunakan Access Point (AP).
2. Infrastruktur
Merupakan jaringan komputer yang menggunakan Access Point (AP). Jaringan ini terbagi atas: Infrastruktur AP, Infrastruktur AP Cilent, Infrastruktur AP Repeater, Wireless Distribution System dan MESH.

Scan dan restore laptop asus.
Masalah selepas booting, hanya keluar taskbar sahaja. Icon di desktop tak kluar. Skrin hitam sahaja.
Reboot ke Safe Mode dan scan hdd. Kemudian buat system restore. Restart dan scan hdd semula.
System windows corrupt kemungkinan disebabkan oleh on/off yg tidak betul. User mungkin off laptop bila tgk skrin hitam kerana ada setting sleep tapi user tak tahu. Mungkin dia ingat laptop mati atau hang. Jadi, dia tekan butang on/off beberapa saat hingga laptop mati dan onkan semula.
Kemungkinan ada sedikit kerosakan pada hdd.
